The Grammy Awards Live originally called the Gramaphone Awards will have its 53rd Annual Grammy Awards this February 13, 2011 at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. It will be broadcast on CBS Network. This awards is to recognize the artists achievements in the Music Industry. The Grammy Awards is equivalent to Emmy Awards for television, Tony Awards for Stage and the Academy Awards for the film.
The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awarders are Julie Andrews, Roy Haynes, Juilliard String Quartlet, the Kingson Trip, Dolly Parton, Ramones and George Beverly Shea. This awards is awarded to performers who have made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording. This Award is similar to the Grammy Hall of Fame Awards.

2011 MusiCare Person of the Year is Barbra Streisand, this award is to commend musicians for their artistic achievement in the music industry. The Academy established a non profit health care organization knows as the MusiCares, to provide health and medical assistance to needy musicians. The MusiCares Person of the Year is chosen by the MusiCares Foundation.
Grammy ballots for the final round of voting was mailed last Dec. 15 to the voting members of The Recording Academy. They are due back to the accounting firm of Deloitte by January 12, 2011, when they will be tabulated and the results kept secret until Grammy Awards 2011 Live Stream telecast.
