OSCAR Awards 2011 Live Stream.The 83rd Academy Awards will honor the best films in 2010. It will be held on February 27, 2011 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. ABC will televise this show. The nominees will be announce this Tuesday, January 25, 2011. This award is to recognize excellence of professional in the film industry including directors, actors and writers. It is the oldest award in the media. Every January the entertainment community and film fans turn their attention to the Academy Awards. Anne Hathaway and James Franco will be hosting the show. Choosing two very young hosts was made by telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer. Both Hathaway and Franco have been nominated for awards stemming from movies before, Franco getting a 2002 Emmy nomination with his television film James Dean, while Hathaway was nominated for Best Actress in 2009 Academy Awards for her role Rachel Getting Married and won the 2010 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice Over Performance on the Simpsons. What might really make this pair work as host is their comedic timing and the ability to poke fun at themselves. Both Franco and Hathaway have been hosted Saturday Night Live which is successful.
Final ballots are mailed to voting members in late January and are due back to Pricewaterhousecoopers. The academy entire active membership is eligible to select Oscar winners in all categories, although in Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject and Foreign Language Film members can vote only after attesting they have seen all the nomination films in those categories.
